Our Location: Bredgade

Our Location: Bredgade

One of the most-visited areas of Copenhagen is the design district where our showroom is located. Our proximity to cultural destinations, excellent restaurants and shopping, along with the historical importance and legacy of the neighborhood make our street a natural place for interior design shops to be inspired and to display their works.

Located on the Bredgade, our showroom is only a stone’s throw from Nyhavn, the King’s Square, and the Royal Theater. In the other direction one encounters the stunning Marble Church called Marmorkirken, and the Royal Residence, Amalienborg, as well as Kastellet, the historical military barracks.

Established headquarters of Design

Just down the street from our shop is a top destination for lovers of Danish Design: the Designmuseum Danmark. Established in the 1890s as a place to collect and exhibit important contributions to the Danish and international design scene, and since the 1920s has been located on Bredgade. Its library of over 1000 journals and myriad other resources is a mainstay for design enthusiasts and scholars, and its impressive collection of Danish furniture includes iconic designs by personalities such as Kaare Klint, Hans Wegner, and of course Poul Henningsen. With a complete renovation having taken place in the last years, the Design Museum Denmark reopens its doors in June 2022 with new exhibitions and activities.

A Hub for Danish Design Stores

It is not a surprise that so many of the best-known Danish design houses are to be found on Bredgade. Along with our showroom at Bredgade 6, one can also visit Wendlebo, Carl Hansen & Søn, Montana, and Klassik studio among many others on our street. There is good representation both by vintage specialty shops, and new, up-and-coming designers. And, one of Denmark’s most prestigious auction houses, Bruun Rasmussen, which hosts internationally attended events that regularly feature Danish design and art pieces.

Along with these various interior design stores, our showroom is situated between several established and influential art galleries. Just 100 meters south along Bredgade is Charlottenborg Contemporary Art, and along Bredgade visitors can find Secher Fine Art, Martin Asbaek, and scores of other well-reputed galleries.

Danish Furniture Pieces with Legacy and Innovation

Within our showroom you will discover rooms of pieces designed by Poul Henningsen, exhibited with the visual art of some of Denmark’s well-known painters. Henningsen, who is so well-known for his contributions to lighting design with the PH Lamp and PH Artichoke Lamp, also designed over 60 individual pieces of furniture. We have the worldwide exclusive license to produce and market his designs, and are passionate experts about Poul Henningsen’s works.
